but I'd like to make a few comments.
First,
just because someone doesn't speak perfect english doesn't mean they can't be helpful. If it bothers you don't read their posts.
Second,
there's nothing more annoying than making a post for help by experienced beardie owners and finding your post buried 10 minutes later by a ton of picture posts.(thanks to all the people who weeded through posts to respond to mine)
Not that I don't like to see pictures of beautiful beardies. I'm sure we all do, but couldn't they be limited somewhat? Maybe just post a picture if you feel it will help someone determine what your beardie has without a trip to the vet. We all worry about our pets and we look to experience for help, but when the experienced people bypass your post just so they can show you their newest beardie it's somewhat discouraging and annoying.
Maybe the owners of this board could set up a place for beardie owners to post pictures.
Just my 2 cents...

ok well i agree mostly...and kinda disagree... with your post lol....well the english thing, i agree ..b22 has been very helpful to most all of us on this forum, and always graces us with his jokes and all, hes a great guy. as for the picture thing, i think you have a good point, although i LOVE the pictures, as i post many myself, they do seem to take priority at times over the questions...maybe the kingsnake moderators could find some way to make a link from this page to a different forum that hosts only pictures, therefore we can go back and forth from each...but thanks for informing us that this is kinda getting to be a problem..thanks

Maybe the first person to post a pic that day, could be nice enough to say in the subject line "Pictures of the day..Post here", then at least most pics would be posted in one spot..Just a thought.
Not everyone will do it or see it, but I think most would be considerate enough to post under it.

that actually sounds better than the current system. wonder how many people would have enough respect to do that?
Thanks again for being kind enough to respond to my posts. No one knows how much help they have really been. Sets this new beardie parents mind at ease.

this is one of the big reasons that i am baffled that this particular forum software is being used.

a standard ubb or other similar bulletinboard system could have a 'sticky' post at the top of the page for posting pictures, and that way, new posts wouldnt push the more pertinent topics down the page...

on top of that, there could be categories within the bearded dragon forum, etc..

i dunno, that's just my opinion... strange choice by the sys admins on the particular software, especially given how much time/energy it seemed to take to get this one set up...

I come here daily as a lot of people do. Never read just one post, or looked at pictures over helping others. Most of the time looking for symtoms of problems before it happens to me and I'm not sure what to do. Basically learning as the husbantry of these animals gets more advanced. If a question doesn't seem to be covered fully, or the person needs further help I'll post. I like the pics, a furom for it sounds good, or posted like suggested. when someone posts pics of animals that made it through a problem that you had a hand in helping makes comeing here daily well worth it.

I'm not saying that the picture posts should be done away with altogether. I was just stating the frustration one gets from seeing their important(in their mind) post buried. Most newbies, myself included, may worry needlessly, but that's not to say that we don't have good questions that don't need answers. We come here because of people's experience with bearded dragons.
I was just suggesting that there may be a better way to post pictures. More moderation would be great. Pictures are wonderful to see and sometimes they help someone make a diagnosis or to just determine if something is normal. And posting pictures for previously sick beardies is wonderful. This forum was set up for beardie owners to interact and to help us newbies and as I see sometimes, the vets learn more about their pets. I just can't help but think I can't be the only one experiencing frustration over needlessly buried posts. For the wonderful people who took the time to dig through my posts and that have responded and provided me with all the help I've been given I really appreciate it. You can't know how much you've helped set my mind at ease.
