More Reeses Pieces - Motley style!!!

rainbowsrus Mar 26, 2010 09:52 PM

Found these lil gems late Thursday right before going to bed. Needless to say I didn't get to bed when planned

Dam - Hershey, 2006 Pastel Motley first time mom..

Sire - Reeses, 2005 Summit reptiles Pastel Salmon, his second litter.

Ovulated on 11/24 and shed on 12/16 put her due date from 03/27 - 03/31 so technically a few days early but they were full term, no yolk babies.

20 babies and 4 slugs and looks like a even distribution between the four expected phenotypes, Hypo Mots, Mots, Hypos and normals, most all with some degree of pastel since both parents were pastels.

A few pics where I found em...

The Pastels...

The Pastel Hypos...

The Pastel Mots...

And the Pastel Hypo Mots....

Very nice looking litter. It is interesting to see the variation in the motley pattern from the other pastel. A few of the hypo motleys are outstanding.
Congratulations.
Bill Kirby

rainbowsrus Mar 27, 2010 01:03 PM

Thanks Bill and thanks again for that female.

Yeah, the Summit line Hypo gene does seem to really mess with the motley pattern but is still pretty cool. I'm going to have a hard time letting go of some of these slimers.

Congrats Dave,
Those look like some awesome babies. Really like to Hypo Mot that kept his pattern on the bottom right of the group pic. Looks like they are going to have some awesome color like dad. Have any pics of the mother?

Dave,

You know I'm going to want to come over and play very soon.

Yes I'm going to the San Mateo Show, but will focus most of my energy on the Reptile Program's side of my business. I'll be doing 2 reptile presentations at the show, one on Saturday at 11:30 and the same time on Sunday.

Check out this video.
