Green Tree Snake ?'s

massapeal Sep 21, 2003 03:20 PM

What is the best diet, and where can I find more info on them.

The guy at the petstore told me they eat only insects but Im really not sure the guy knows what he is talking about by the way most of his animals look.

What genus are you talking about? Odds are that its a lizard eater.

I am fairly sure that it is most likely Opheodrys aestivus, the rough green snake, native to much of the southeastern US. Pretty little snakes. They are insectivorus, require an arboreal/semiarboreal setup, and lots of vines and cover to hide in. Mine did great on caterpillars and crickets. I would use a UV lamp as well as a heat lamp. Andy
