Hey Joecop - here are the Ltt

dniles Mar 29, 2010 06:45 PM

Joe,

These are the Ltt from MD that you hatched out in 2008. They are both fantastic its amazing how different they can look. The female has surpassed the male in size although I'm sure he'll catch back up when his eating picks back up this spring.

Had planned on taking a bunch more pics but ran out of time.

WOW Dave. That female grew fast!! And I though he was a monster for his age. I have pics of them coming out of the egg when they looked the same as far as color. Amazing how they changed for sure. Both are awesome but he is just a smoker!

Man!,...I gotta agree, those are both sweet!, but that red male there is just OUTSTANDING!!

Congrats to both you and Joe on those!

ahhh.....check out that lateral blotch pattern......TRUE Ltt

joecop Mar 29, 2010 10:01 PM

True, but I have had some that had a little bit of both as well with the pattern going all the way down.

I like the latteral checkerboard pattern. Every so often you'd come across one that was almost perfect. Real jewels.

This one is from the same clutch and had some of both.

Hey Dave, thought you might like these pics as well. This is your male coming out of the egg and into my wife's hands---all eleven inches of him at hatching! They don't look much like moma in the last photo.

Those are some sharp looking Easterns.
Here's a young one that I found in Savage River State Park, MD a few years ago:

Sweeeeet. Nice looking critter.

Those are supper nice. Funny how nothing comes close to matching the critters of your youth. First love I guess! I used to collect them around Lock Raven Reservoir in the early 70s but never could induce one to feed for me. Think I need to get a pair of those.

Tony, between Doug (snakebit) and I, we spent many, many hours on those little critter to get them going. Lots of scenting and geko parts before a single one of them started on pinks. Funny thing is the two w/c I gave to a buddy last year both took f/t right off the bat. Go figure.

chuckster Mar 30, 2010 06:59 PM

Very nice.

I thought I would share some photos of an 09' male with a solid white belly.

DMong Mar 30, 2010 08:44 PM

That's pretty interesting!,..sort of has a muted, less defined theme to it's side pattern/coloration too.

Very nice!

Those are way cool, guys! I've noticed that the males tend to hold a brighter red than the females. It seems you're seeing the same trend!
