Hahaha. I pride myself in being bitten once in my 15 years of snake handling. Apparently we think differently.

that just means you need to handle more snakes :D
FWIW, I'm a baby about it myself, but I've been known to let small snakes try to bite me. It's sort of cute watching a baby house snake try to eat my hand.

I have a king that tried to eat me when it was just a hatchling. I had just fed it and must have still had some mouse smell on me when I picked it up. This little thing was curled up in my palm when it calmly checked out the side of my thumb and tried to open its mouth wide enough to get my thumb in. LOL! It was hilarious! It was so small at that point that its tiny teeth just tickelled. I would have loved to have had my camera handy.

Very nice Josh,water snakes are some of the first to come out.Also understanding them in the wild is a big part of keeping them .Good luck with your collecting.Terry
