bull snake or pine snake

speckledqueen Mar 31, 2010 07:07 PM

Okay here is my problem i've been going around and asking people what kind of snake should i get i said " I'm looking for a snake thats big BUT not to big and thats hefty" some of the answers i got were regaurding boas.... my dad thinks i'm not ready for that big of a responsibility yet. And i'm completely fine with that. So he suggested i look at eaither a pine or a bull snake.. from what i understand they get preety big, and they would be much easier to take care of!
So my question to you is.... What snake should i be considering getting?
Thanks for all your help,
Anna

Well either snake is gonna be responsibility of temps, humidity, and feeding.

I have a pine, corn/milk, and a BP. I have to say my Ball Python is an absolute pleasure with my pine a decent second. But handling wise my BP is a sweet heart and very trusting. The Pine I got when she was older but shes pretty good too but not as calm as my BP.

My hybrid.......well hes a little wacked out but I love him too lol

P.S. My Pine is way bigger than my BP.

Depending on what state you live in, I'd buy the snake (pine or bull) that is found native in your area, just because it makes it that much easier to take care of for a kid...
