Oh yea they are! The hogs in Montana vary quite a bit from one local to another. Some areas arround here have some pretty dull looking hogs, but some areas here in MT have the coolest looking normals I have ever seen. Here are my 09 f1 holdbacks from a pairing of hogs I caught on the Big Bend Ranch here in Cascade County, MT.

So, as is with Mexicans, do you cross breed Montanians to 'plains'?

This locality thing is a whole new twist. Their patterns are neat do they come in more exotic colors?

The hogs in Montana are plains hogs, so throwing them into a western color project is not crossing. Oh, & just so you know the little greenish one you just got is a clutchmate to the ones I posted above.
