She's got some growing to do yet! My Bubs is 10 years old and she weighs about 18 pounds and is still growing. She is heavier than both of my Rhino males and dwarfs most adult green iguanas.

Time sure does fly, At 18lbs Bubs is bigger than her mom was and almost as big as Walter(22yr old 18.5 lbs Dad) was at the time of the hatching -- Oct 98.

Yup, she is a chunker and she loves her food. I do wonder sometimes if the addition of the RepCal adult iguana food contributed to her size and weight. She still chows the stuff when I offer it to her, either wet or dry. Honestly, there isn't much that she won't eat and when we are out of town at events she will get a special treat of donut for breakfast. She has eaten a few things that she shouldn't have over the years, including a nylon stocking and a rubber ear plug. Fortunately she passed these items with no ill effect.

I remember that years ago you commented on Cyclura.com that her mom was not the nicest lizard. I'm glad that she didn't pass on that trait because Bubs is the easiest going, most tolerant animal that I've had the pleasure or sharing my life with.

I've said it before but that is a really nice Cyclura. Yesterday I bought a small collection of Cyclura including Rosco's brother and sister yesterday. Both are very tame. I only need the female but it's hard to part with the male since I produced him 6 years ago and his personality is like Rosco's...I also got a REALLY NICE pair of hybrid lewisi and their very tame as wll. Here's a few pics of the male lewisi hybrid....I enjoy pics of your baby so keep posting them.....

High grade commercial foods can help round out the size on an iguana that might otherwise miss some needed nutrients - so yes, that probably has something to do with her being bigger than her mom,who did not reap that benefit in the formidable years. You have set an excellent example with Bubs ! She is 1 of 5 that hatched from a clutch of 12 eggs. Jordan is in Florida, I wonder where the other 3 siblings ended up ?
Lev was very tame from day one, I do recall thanking the previous owner, for doing the hard part(on cyclura.com), as some of my other rhinos took longer to tame.
