Hi,
What are the best books on captive care of Tegus?
I am mainly interested in Black and White Tegus.
Thanks Steve
PS On a lighter now...Why do some spell it Tegu and some spell it Tegus...is there a right way ...hmmm..

Actually I don't think there's even one book dedicated to tegu care! To make matters worse they are sometimes called err spelled teju. If you got any questions just ask around here and search through the posts (including archived/old forum).

Actually there is a good book about Tegus. Its called 'Tejus' (thats how we call them in Holland (where I'm from) and in Germany) Its written by Gunther Kohler and Bert Langerwerf and its in German, but I heard an English version is coming soon.

By the way, I'm reading this forum already for one and a half years and this is the first time I post!
I live in Amsterdam and I have two 14 months old male tegus from AgamaInternational. It was supposed to be a couple, but it turned out they were both males. They live together in very very good harmony, I hope it will stay like that.

I'm glad you posted and with good information! I have a 14 month Argentine B&W male from Agama International too. Of course you probably already know that : P Now that you've got a user name you'll have to post more often. Your English is very good.

P.S. That’s a very nice area over there. I've been around by Germany on the best vacation I’ve ever had. I sure wish I would have made it to Amsterdam, I was so close!
