Frogs and fish

thefiradragon Sep 21, 2003 04:36 PM

now dont rip my head off aand say im a horrible person for wanting to use fish in a viv.
in my viv im going to have at the very most 2 inches deep pond with waterfall. and i hate when pinheads, frutflys etc get into the water and soil it, they go to waste so i figure 1 or 2 small fish to snatch up the insects, so iguess my q is what fish would be best for a viv? just name any that wont be a danger to the frogs, after saltwater any freshie fish should be a snap

thanx

I have toyed with this idea as well and I think the easiest would be like some Guppies, Mollies, Platties, or MAYBE even a Betta. These are all very easy and hardy fisy to maintain. Just a thought.

I have used neon tetras in some of my PDF set-ups. I use small filters and end up doing water changes often for the frogs anyway and they have lived for about 2 years now. I have also used with some success: congo tetras, emperor tetras, white clouds, and cardinal tetras (very hard to keep alive).
If you have a lot of water (and time)it looks nice.
Good luck
