DNA sexing

Nortz Apr 02, 2010 08:33 AM

A few years ago, I worked for a pet store that bred birds. They sent blood samples away for DNA sexing. Are there any labs that will do that for reptiles? I’ve found several sites online that do birds and dogs.

Is there a need to use DNA to check the gender of a dog???????

So far, no, Dna testing for varanids is not done. Cheers

Dont know if they have gone beyond the DNA testing for species, I cant imagine they would bother with DNA for sexing.

That would be pretty neat if there was such a thing for dna testing for bearded dragons. I have two female beardies that are gravid that were with both my males at one time(two different morphs) and would like to know you's the father of who.....Lol..
