Updated Photos and Two New Babies (DUW)

waspinator421 Apr 05, 2010 12:56 AM

Hello everyone! Hope you all had a good holiday weekend. Mine was fun. I don't celebrate the holiday, but we had our first barbecue of the year out by the lake this weekend, and had a few friends over as well. This warm spring weather is definitely welcome!

Since the weather is finally warming up here, I've taken the opportunity to get some much needed updated photos of some of my first time breeders this year. Well, here they are:

Amethyst - Orange/Yellow Female

Copper - Normal Female

Gozer - Very Dark Male with some minor abberancies

Obsidian - Hypomelanistic Male

Quince - Female with a nice squiggle down her back and fat crescents

Russet - High Orange Male

Zuul - Very Dark Abberant Female

I've already seen Gozer and Zuul in action and got a few pictures. I am really excited to see what they produce as they are siblings, both show aberrancies, and are WAYY dark! The flash really washed out their color, so they look just plain brown in these photos.

I also picked up a smoking pair of babies this year. The female is a Super Blush and the male is a really nice Blush, and both have great color. The female also has some neat reduced lines on her back. I can not wait to see what these two will produce!!

Male

Female

Hope you enjoyed all the pictures!

That first one - Amethyst, is just stunning!!!!

One of my very first snakes was a rainbow boa - many years and many snakes ago. I'm planning on getting into them this season...

Seeing animals like yours really solidifies my intent..

Thanks Byron! Yes, BRBs are a must have for any snake lover, IMO. But I am biased, lol.

Thanks Cliff! Those pics were taken over a couple of days so I don't know how much time I put into them. Sure does take a while though!

Believe it or not I found Amethyst at a pet store!! I saw her one of the first days she was there, and I just had to have her. The pet store is very good with their animals and would not sell her to me until they were sure she was feeding, so I was in agony waiting to see if I could get her. I was so happy when I brought her home, though they made me buy a male as well to get her. But I didn't care!

Zuul is one of my more cranky BRBs in general, so picture day just pissed her off even more.

Hey Aubrey, Great collection! Those two babies are looking good. I still can't believe I let you talk me out of that female but I'm glad that it went to someone on this forum, atleast I will be able to see how she turns out. Good luck with them!

I can't believe you let me talk you out of her either! At least you know that she is only a little over an hour away from you, and you can come see her any time. Thanks again!!
