West TX Trip in June

chris_mcmartin Apr 05, 2010 07:33 AM

I might actually get to make a trip to the trans-Pecos/Big Bend area this year (didn't get a break this time last year). I'm thinking if I go, I'll be out and about down there 6-10 June (not counting the two days' travel time to get there). That time frame puts the moon at last quarter to new as the week progresses.

If I stop by the Gries ranch I'll be looking for a female TX banded gecko or two to match up with the male Travis Dimler found for me two years ago. I'm also interested in getting some RR locale geckos (NOTE: "locale," not "the road itself!".

Still debating whether to take the little econobox (that can't handle Gries Ranch roads!) or the 4Runner--watching the gas prices.

So, if y'all are out there at the same time it'd be great to meet/see you again.

Chris-

Ron Tremper and I will be out there at that time-mostly Marathon and points west, including RR. We'll be in either my 4x4 gold F-150 w/black bed cap, or Ron's silver Ford Edge. Hope to see you there!
