I heard that a few people still have their hets somehow, but haven't heard of anyone with a visual. If anyone does have them they're probably not going to tell anyone.
Someone did post here last year saying that Bushmaster was working on legally purchasing the confiscated ones. Haven't heard anything about that since, though. Really hoping that is true.
From what I've heard the Denver Zoo has the visual and if they are successful in producing offspring from that animal they will sell them to Bushmaster and then the hets and any visuals will become legal.
The above is second hand information.

Do you know if they have even attempted to breed them yet? I'm surprised they haven't reproduced them yet; they are sitting on a small (or maybe not-so-small) fortune.
The ability of zoos to breed ANY reptile varies wildly-some are very professional and skilled at all aspects of husbandry and breeding. Others couldn't breed leopard geckos

I have no idea if there have been any attempts. I do know that the visual animal is of a large size.

Well there are a couple male leucistic western hogs in a collection here in MN. Supposedly wild collected from Texas. What is the deal with the confiscated individuals? Why were they seized.
Because in the state (Colorado if I remember correctly) they were found in, it is illegal to collect native specimens.

Help me find this snake!

thats not the reason they were confiscated...
first off it is legal to colect and keep 4 wild specimans a year and a total of 12 over all.
the individual that caught the origanal gravid female was in possesion of several HOT's and his entire collection was confiscated including the hogs.
I was under the impression that these are from a Texas locale...?

From everything i understand the original lucys were hatched from a gravid WC souhern colorado female.
they hatched out 2? lucys and 3? possible hets
Oh, ok. Thanks for the correction. I had heard wrong.

I have seen a photo with 3 leucistic W. hogs and know someone with 2 males.... So there were at least 3, that is if they are all from the same spot.
