Invisible Kingsnake. Much is written about it's legendary ambush skills. Few specimens are held in U.S. collections though it is rumored some were kept in the U.K. in the 70's.

Range maps show it may intergrade with other subspecies but has not been confirmed so far. It is presently recognized as an important predator of small rodents in places it is found. You can see one just like it in this tub. They are shy but if you look closely you can see it in the bottom left corner.
