updated Bluefields Nic pictures

amiemac9 Apr 06, 2010 10:00 AM

I took a few pictures of these guys (and gal) yesterday.

This is my '05 male "Shadow." He's gotten pretty big. I think he may be the largest of all my Nics. I even got lucky enough to catch him in his light phase.

This picture isn't the greatest overall, but it should give you an idea as to his size.

This is "Opal" my '06 female. I plan on fattening her up a little before introducing her to Shadow for the 2010-2011 breeding season.

Here's a size reference picture of her.

Then there's the teeny weeny '07, "Lightning." This little guy left sperm plugs in his tub this January!

I didn't get pictures of my other '05 female...ran out of time. She's really small compared to Shadow and Opal. And she is very dark with a lot of smudging. Doesn't look anything like the other three. I'll see if I can get decent shots of her in the next batch of warm days...she busy eating right now.

If anyone else has boas from this locale, I'd love to see some updated pictures!! You can even email them to me if you don't want to tell the whole world you have them LOL!

Great pics Amie! I never cared much for nics but you really showed those off nicely and I apprecaite them more now! They have such pretty hues and that 'lightning' is fab. I like the size pics too (plus you've got great taste in t-shirts haah)
Take care,

Nice looking critters Amie. I've had a few Nics, but never any from that locale. Gotta say, I really like Opal. She's a doll. Love the contrasty pattern she has.

Thanks Rick!

The group that Opal came from most resembles Costa Ricans...but considering the proximity, I'm not surprised. I used to have one of her brothers....sold him though. What an idiot, I am!

All the more reason to get that female going.
