Do Boas Have Contractions?

ShedYourFears Apr 06, 2010 05:33 PM

Today I noticed my gravid albino female having what appeared to be "contractions"...

I haven't really read anything about this anywhere, so I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this.

I was observing her in her cage, I could easily see her breathing normally, and then out of nowhere, what appeared to be 2 muscle contractions, both in very quick succession...then she relaxed again...

I can't tell if they are getting closer together, but she is extremely active at the moment... chaging positions, drinking, yawning, etc..

Do you think she's close?

This is my first time breeding boas, so I'm both excited and nervous!
