Some recent thayeri

DMong Apr 07, 2010 11:20 AM

Just got these nice adults!

The male is the "milk phase", and the female is the very hefty "leonis". She is due to shed anytime now, so she should look even better here shortly!

enjoy!, ~Doug

Com'n man don't hold out!

LOL!!,...well, there were only the alterna and thayeri pair as far as kingsnakes go, and the rest were real nice assorted high-end Hondurans of different ages from very well-known names(Don Shores, Norm Damm, Lambert, Paul Weaver), etc...

Awesome tangerine "bicolored" albinos(poss. hybinos), killer VP hypos, tricolor hypos, anery/het hypo(ghost), etc...

I will hold onto a few select specimens, and sell the rest in time along with my other stuff.

Here are just a couple pics......

The way I see it, we are in the age of one for all. Health care for all, more taxes for services to the masses. Redistribution of wealth. It isn't fair all the nice snakes you have. Time to redistribute some of that.

I'll take either the thayeri or the alterna. (lol) Great snakes Doug. No meals missed there. Congrats.

I was told they weren't really brumated that well this season from the prior owner, but I will probably throw them together after she sheds in the next couple of days to see what happens anyway.

It certainly can't hurt to see what happens!

BTW....Now that you are entering the realm of mexicana (for the first time or again) you must now use the correct terminology.....

It is MSP (Milk Snake Phase) not "milk phase".......j/k.....lol

And that is a REAL NICE MSP.....The leonis female is no slouch either......Congrats on your new acquisitions.....

As far as I know antr1 got most of his thayeri from Bob Applegate but I don't know if these two are of Applegate lineage or not.......Still real nice pair.....

Anthony got this pair of Thayeri from me... I picked them up in a trade as young (proven) adults.. I am not sure of the exact line info on them.. Really GREAT looking animals though!

Good luck with them bud!

Ahh!, okay!. That's very interesting man!. So do you remember what year each of them are?. He couldn't quite remember that when I asked him, so that would be fabulous if you could tell me what year they hatched.

thanks Mike!, ~Doug

Thanks John!,......

I agree, the male's colors are pretty eye-popping!. When I first saw him pulled from the bag the other day, I was very impressed with his vivid coloration for sure!

Can't knock the female much either as you said!..LOL!

I had different types of thayeri many years ago, but it's been about 16-17 years. I remember decent-looking "peach" phase were like $400 bucks back then..LOL!
