I have had my crestie since Dec.31, 2002. He has never taken baby food. What can I do to get him to eat baby food?

I'm assuming it is eating crickets just fine. If you really want it to accept babyfood, the best way is to not feed crix for a few days then offer the baby food. You can mix a jar of banana with peach to make a thicker blend. This will help you see if it accepted the food. Also, try not to fill whatever dish you are using to the edge. This way you can inspect the edges the next day to see if any food was eaten. I would also suggest trying the Crested Gecko Diet for even more variety. Forgot to add that you can mix a bit of honey with the baby food mix also.

hey this may be odd but hay you tried to fingure feed it
i have had my crestys for only a day an a half now but mine ate it right off my fingure

Yes, I do feed him it by finger and he eats it. but that takes way to long! Last night I fed him some in his dish and I stuck his nose in it. This morning I checked and he ate some. This is the first time. Is the Crestie diet a powder that you mix with the baby food? I was just wondering. Thanks to the both of you!

I had to hand feed mine her baby food for a long time untii she would recogize it in her bowl. So I would suggest that you keep trying that. I know it is time consuming but but your will figure it out sooner or later(hopfully soon). Also, the Crested Gecko food is powder that you mix with water. You can also mix it with the baby food.
