Kayuadi breeding season again!

murdoch Sep 21, 2003 06:39 PM

Females are fat, and males are getting very active at night. Initial pairing has induced a lot of spurring and perhaps early mating, strong interest by the males and no protest by the females. I did feed the girls heavily the last 8 weeks and they are definitely fat. One female - the only one who didnt breed last year- went off feed and has had a very interested male partner. It is a good thing i have found a supplier of inexpensive rats with six of these Kayuadi breeders in my basement LOL

On another note, 2.3 babies are still left from this year. I was saving 2.2 for a friend (who's son was chronically ill but who recently passed on). I will be posting these on the classifieds on monday
