Im just going to count this as progress lol! about 2-3 wks ago i started offering khaos treats out of my hand. i offer a few super worms once very other weeks and he loves them and every few days i offer him fruits he loves strawberries! he will take the treats right out my hand but its just a snatch and run repeatedily but at least he comes to my hand right. well the other day after i fed him i noticed he was watching me intensely so i tapped the glass on his tank and he actually came to me! so i grabbed my phone and shot a video im still in shock that he didnt just bolt to his hide when he saw my hand. do you think this is progress, even if he did head bob at me afterwards lol? enjoy!

yea thats definitley progress! i wouldnt tease him with your hand though.
what i did with my cuban which seems to help is i would fist up my hand and slowly put it in the enclosure a couple inches away from him and just wait for him to come over a lick it(smell it) after a couple times he started to climb up on my arm. my guy is about the same size, maybe a tad bigger, but he was never like "omg humnan!" and run away

originally i kept him in a tub that he couldnt see out of to reduce stress and allow him to acclimate i was a lil worried about putting him in the 55 gal tank but he is doing great still got that huge appetite and he watches me a lot and dont run when i approach the enclosure. im going to try that and hopefully make progress even further.

try putting his tank a little bit higher up.. they seem to calm down quickly when they feel that you are smaller.. they can only see your head and hands...

The tapping is making me freaked out.

I never gave mine any insects, just rep-cal food all the time when she was a baby and now she eats the best salads ever and Zupreem Parrot Peletes.

Try working in some Mazuri, or Rep-cal or bird pelets now..Works wonders on thier growth and you can just leave in it the cage so they always have something to eat
