I need an opinion or 20

I read a post from Rheenie about feeding a 14" snake two pinkys. Now Im feeding mine one and shes 16" should I try two tomorrow when I feed her? They said to let her eat one for about 2 more months now Im starting to think thats not enough.

How big is the lump after you feed it, and how long does it stay there?

I'm feeding my ~15" hatchlings one large pinkie (almost 'peach fuzzie' size, starting to get very light fur and whiskers) per meal. If my pinkies where tiny, day-old ones, they could eat two, no problem.

I'm new to herping, but I've read and been told to feed my snake prey that is no more than 1.5 times his girth, and to feed him, for now (he's a hatchling) twice a week. Then as he, and his prey, get larger, to feed him only once a week.

It is simple...let your snake decide. As long as the pinkies aren't too large and your snake doesn't have to struggle to get them down, go ahead and try two next time. If it doesn't have trouble getting one down, it should be ok with two.
Once you get it eating two at each feeding stay on this schedule for a little while. Don't rush to get it up to the next size.
Take your time.
When you do feel that it could move up to a third pinkie then switch to fuzzies or A fuzzie and work from there.

I have all kinds of pets, too many actually. I have a bearded dragon, leopard gecko, tiger salamander, Rottweiler, shih tzu, two cats, my new snow corn two kids and the hubby. For some reason I stress about the snake, Im always worried something will happen to her. I think I just love her too much already.

I would try two.
