It's around our anniversary so we have two reasons to hit Daytona Beach now every year.......

Woe David Powel... I hadn't seen him in years! He looks alot different. Not that he remembers me but I went to his house many years ago with a friend and purchased some snakes. Last I saw him he was getting into house snakes, but that was quite a while ago too.

The blood kin (as we call us blood python folks) schedule a time and meeting place where everyone will be. Its usually saturday night and everyone just meets there.

OHHHH I am quite sure of that. Altho maybe I should just keep track starting now at who makes my husband realize which forum I am reading. I am quite sure when all together, even Jerry/Doug and Thomas would be good buddies. Jerry however choose california over daytona this year.

of brooks king and pine snake fame...currently out of the hobby but still unable to avoid the herp forum. its probably been over a year since i posted. imagine visiting a forum out of the blue and seeing your pic posted there...lol.
many good times had at daytona, if they don't destroy the economy i am certain to be back in the mix sooner than later.

Too bad that bar is all different now.....Last year the bar was lame......It is more of a restaurant now......And no NASCAR pieces on the walls......

I wonder where all my other pics are....I know I had some of Randy Whittington, A Drunken Rainer and many others.......LOL

Let's make it party this year again.......More folks and more biers make for a good time (most of the time)....hehe

Last year our crew didnt even stay in the hilton. We stayed next door at the Wyndham. It was really nice and FAR cheaper than the hilton.

And it was WAY easier to BYOB there too. Could be we had a full kitchen.

the wyndham one year put me up in a hotel for the weekend and gave me a $50 present for sitting in Sun afternoon for a sales pitch on timeshare.
Luckily my salesman liked Nascar so went lightly over the rigga morole upstairs in a suite with the race on and had a cold one till his alotted time was up,knowing the whole time i wasnt buying a time share...C

I have not even considered Daytona for 2010. I heard from every person I spoke to that last year was awful.... it is an expensive trip for me and I dont wanna go there and wholesale my animals just to make back my costs to get there. As of now I have no intention of participating but I may change my mind.
Or, I may go the econo route and stay somewhere cheap and not get a table.
I had a blast every year I went. But 2009 was dismal and so far 2010 aint looking much better.
It is a bummer you have to commit so far in advance. As it stands I will probably take my annual trek to Orlando, I am going to Maryland in May for my weekend metalfest, probably hitting Vegas and who knows where else.
If there's a demand for what I have, I will go. But if not I seriously doubt it.
I wish I didnt live so far, but Austin is a long way to travel for one "iffy" show ya know?
