Hey just wanted to share some pictures I took of my kings today.
A few of them are ovulating and all of them are bashing around in their cages.

nice pic.s,,,
Very pretty zonata. I like the big white bands. What is the substrate? It looks sort of like sand.
Lol
Is that calcium sand?

Yeah the white band are awesome!
Yep, it's sand. I changed over this season and cannot really see myself going back to wood chips. The wood mites suck; the old chips start to smell; mold is always a problem; humidity is hard to control; cleaning the cage sucks.
OK I obviously am in love with sand. But seriously if the change is not too nerve racking for you I strongly suggest changing. I have noticed better appetites in my snakes, better sheds and just nicer looking scales.
I actually had a zonata that had some infection in his mouth. Now that I have changed to sand AND dosed him with nutri-biotic he is doing perfectly well...after a good shed and brumation of course. haha He's the small one in the picture.
SAND SAND SAND lol
Oh, and it's quarts, course grade. There is NO dust and I just put the mice on deli cup lids so they don't ingest any sand.
You may have been trying to reply to someone else. I posted your pic that didn't show.
You left off a / at the end in the [img] box is all.

Ahh thank you very much. Someone asked if it was sand, so I was just replying to them.
Have a good day, even though it is Tuesday.
