Percentage of Snakes Eating

Kevinvs Apr 12, 2010 06:17 PM

Hey, I was just curious as to how many of people's snakes eat on a weekly basis for them as a percentage (or however long their feeding schedule may be)? For example, I have ten ball pythons, and on a good week I can usually get eight or nine of them to eat, but on a bad week I can have as low as four or five of them eat. Just curious as to snake's average feeding tendencies and fluctiations between these tendencies.

mine very every week... sometimes it is a rat holocaust, and other weeks no body wants to eat, I would say it runs from about 90%-15%.

Unless they are in the fasting part of the breeding season it's odd for mine not to eat.

Mine will sometimes ignore a f/t meal. In which case the next day I give a live, and they take every time.
Maybe a 50% on the f/t
And 100% on live
But my oldest female, who was raised for 7 years by someone else, will never take frozen, but 100% will take a live meal.

100% unless someone is in shed and they even eat then sometimes. I feed live.

I feed live and everyone eats consistantly unless its breeding season.
