Figureing it out

Droptine8 Apr 13, 2010 10:51 AM

If anyone remembers,I wasn't having any luck with my new BP.
Today, a trip to the vet,may be getting me back on the right track,or the snake I should say.
A fresh bm in the sack showed a high level of "flatulates",,I believe thats how the vet pronounced it.Every thing else looked good,BUT,,,she is a HE, no big deal.
He took one dose of medication today and is due back in 2 weeks for a second.I'm glad I now know what is bothering this BP.

The vet probably said "flagellates". These are one-celled creatures that propel themselves by moving a flagellum, which is a whip-like structure sticking out of the creature's end. They do bad things when in snake guts. Glad to hear the snake is getting the medication he needs. Best of luck with the feeding after he recovers.
