Picture Time!!!!

Rob Jenkins Sep 21, 2003 07:53 PM

I took all these pictures tonight with a Nikon Coolpix 995.

These two Super Hypo Carrot Tail Baldy x Hypo Tangerine babies are doing awesome. They were hatched 15 August and I was worrying whether they were going to get some carrot; now I wonder how much they'll get

This is a great shot of her eye!

And this is the better of the two clutchmates. You can see how the orange isn't only coming in on the tail, but on the neck band.

Here's my best albino to hatch this year, it was hatched on 2 August. Don't ask, it's already been spoken for

Lastly, not even a month old; look at the orange!

Anyone else out there got pics of this years' babies?

Thanks for looking.

I really like the last pic of the albino! I love all that orange on it! :D

Very nice geckos you have there.

Here is a pic of Corona. She'll be a future breeder and she is the best one that I produced this year with the most carrot tail. Her parents are a true Ray Hine carrot tail (Garrick DeMeyer stock) x a Bill Brant super hypo tangerine x Ray Hine carrot tail (Brett Mazimann stock)

She's beautiful. I hope the ones I made this year develop half that carrot tail on them. I'm not sure, because to my knowledge, the dad is just hypo tangerine, without any carrot tail genes. Mom is an Urban Gecko (Ray Hine?) Super Hypo Carrot Tail Baldy, and you can tell it in the babies.

Let us know how it goes when you breed that girl next season.

And nice pictures!

I just ordered a Nikon Coolpix 4300 today with all kinds of accessories I'm sure I didn't need... so no more 1.3 megapixel Canon a50 for me.

Deciding on which digital camera to buy was one of the toughest choices I've made in awhile, lol.

Talk to you later.

Thanks, they sure make me proud to have hatched them, even though they're not mine anymore.

I can't wait to see pics from your new camera. You'll be amazed when you start taking macro pics. Just try to get as much sunlight as possible in the picture so you don't have to use a flash. Flash usually washes out the subject. Have you seen the macro light ring Nikon makes? I'd like to try one sometime on my geckos.

Take care

Love those baby albinos, especially the last one!

This is Vivid, you may have seen him before, but he gets more orange on his body and tail every day

A close up of Vivid's tail. Ther are orange spots appearing almost all the way down to the end of the tail, and more orange on body and tail every week.:

This is a tang albino baby, pic taken today. Her orange is bright, and her pink bands are dark. I think this one may be offspring from my SHTCT het albino, and may go totally orange hypo, I hope!
