Sunglow motley photos request

tevie84 Apr 15, 2010 07:04 AM

Can anyone if they have some, post adult sunglow motley photos. I know they look amazing as neonates but some designer morphs do not look as nice as adults. Just want to know if I should get into sunglow motley projects or not. Thanks.

WOW!!! nice motley pattern on that one. That is a nice sunglow mot Brian. Thanks for the response I appreciate it. I wonder how the sharp sunglow mot will look if there is any. I will do more research and selective breed to get that mot pattern.

Thanks Kasin,

It's now been 2 years since I first laid eyes on her and I'm still in awe of her. She is by far my favorite boa.

To make any nice snake. I got a 2008 female Sunglow Mot that is right at 5ft. She was produced from a Lipstick line X Coral line. And that selective breeding gave the appearance of a lipstick as a baby with very high contrast. Then as a sub adult, the coral really kicked in making her sides almost red. I seen alot of sunglows and albinos wash out once they reached 4-5ft. Havent been around too many sunglow mots thou. Brian G has a nice one that I always admired. His kept the Motley pattern(which is somewhat rare and some people like) while mine has an unorthodox pattern( which IMO adds character, which some people like) Here are some pics I took of her in Jan 10' showing how the coral really kicked in adding color.

See the difference. They do, for the most part, look higher in contrast as babies.

Thanks for all your posts and responses I really appreciate it. As babies I love how the busted up pattern looks with the high contrast. They almost have like a clown pattern to them. As adults with the busted pattern you kind of forget they are motleys because I couldnt see if the tail has striping. Brian has a nice female that kept her pattern but his would have looked a bit nicer if she had the flare and contrast that your coral has. Thanks again.

Here's an 09 Sunglow Motley. She's 1 of 3 born in the litter, the other 2 are males. One of the males looks really washed out for a Sunglow. The other was sold, so I'm not sure what he looks like now.

She's from a Coral Sunglow x Motley het Albino breeding.
The coral on her is really starting to comeout and she's not quite a year old yet...

Thanks,
Chaz
