Is he drinking?

Jipjap74 Apr 15, 2010 01:59 PM

Hi, I recently purchased an infant BD. I have kept Leopard Geckos for years but had to find them a new home when i moved from Ireland to the USA. So i decided to get a beardy instead. All seems well but i have noticed he is yet to drink water. Its been 2 days now. He is eating like a horse with both veggies and crickets but how will i know for sure he is drinking?

Many babies won't drink from a bowl...you can spray it with a very gentle stream on the top of it's head to get it to drink...squirt a bit { the drops run down it's nose },then wait for it to start drinking and continue. You can soak the baby in very shallow { not quite up to it's chest}lukewarm water to get it to drink...they will often have a b.m. as well, dump that if it does and use fresh bowl. Also, you can make sure the veggies are wet...good thing that he is eating his veggies. He sounds reasonably healthy.
