ASFs vs. Mice feeders, whats preferred?

REPTILEKING Apr 15, 2010 08:06 PM

Curious what potential buyers prefer, i honestly havent made the jump to ASFs as i feed gerbils to anything that wont take rats or mice but have gotten complaints that gerbils are too hard to find.. After talking to different people about Soft Firs im seeing theyre alot easier to get and considering trying them out.. Their obviously bigger then mice so using them for non-rat feeders would be a benefit but for those potential buyers that cant get them but could find mice at any local pets store has me wondering..

So after that little rant im just curious for other opinions on the subject...

Thx,

Steve Winkler

hmm good question.. i would be interested in opinions on this too. Being that I have at least 2 sources for ASF's in my area i would prefer an ASF eater over a gerbil eater only because of cost. in my area the ASF are cheaper.
(and I hate gerbils.. LOL)

I would definitely prefer to take an ASF feeder over a Mouse/Gerbil feeder. Even if I didn't already have a colony, starting and maintaining ASFs is WAY easier than mice and gerbils in my opinion. Plus the skip from ASFs to Rats is much easier than either of the other two rodents.
