Copperhead At Den In Upstate NY

For anyone interested.. Some pics of a northern copperhead from a denning area in dutchess county, ny. Saw 2 under a rock crevice in a very short time but didnt have time to explore in depth. More pics to come after tomorrow's expedition.

As "common" as they are supposed to be in the HRV, you don't really hear of too many people finding them. Then again, with the habitat and the way they blend in, it's no wonder. I went to school in Alfred, NY, there were supposed to be populations around there (Alleghany County), I don't think they were ever documented though.
