Hey guys, I just wanted to share a picture of my V. jobiensis. He's a little younger than a year and a half old now and ~36 inches (I think he may be a bit bigger). He's a gorgeous animal that likes to inspect me and is very crazy about food. Keeping him was frustrating when he was a baby (empty cage syndrome) but is now amazing (he's always out and about and not nearly as shy as he used to be).




Yes, peachies are among the prettiest of the varanid species, in my opinion. Plus, they make some pretty decent captives if you can provide them with what they need.
