I didn't realize this at first but after a little research I discoverd that this was my first litter where both adults were born at my house. Pretty cool when you worked with the grandparents and raised the parents from babies. Anyways, this was a Jungle litter.....still my favorite mutation. I love the variation in pattern, color, contrast.......you never know what you're going to get. In this case, the mom was offering a possible double dose of hypomelanism and a single dose of the Jungle mutation while the father was offering a single dose of the Jungle gene. The mother was raised nice and slow.....only 9.2 lbs at 5 years of age when the breeding began. She did great for a first time Mom.....14 live, 1 stillborn, 0 slugs on day 103 POS. The results were 2 Salmon Super Jungles, 7 Salmon Jungles, & 5 Jungles. Really neat variety.....from a mostly patternless Salmon Super Jungle to a Jungle with a long chain stripe to a Jungle with no real aberrancy. Did you say photos?
