fire and her belly shot ODD???

littleleeper23 Apr 23, 2010 02:03 AM

Hey yall,

Bought this fire from BHB in February. ALso bought a second that has the same belly markings. ANY THOUGHTS? This one is just a tad more distinct and has a partial ringer.

Looks a little abnormal from other fires I have seen, including a 3rd female I own.

OH do Fires usually have yellow-ish belly scales like the YB? I have notice this as well on both BHB girls. (not solid yellow just the intermittent yellow scales)

The nicer looking Fires seem to have bellies like the one in the pic. The Yellow smudges are also typical of Fires , nice ones at least... My original adult Fire male is a Wilbanks/Davies line and he has both the markings on his sides like this and the yellow belly smudges.

Hi Anthony,

Thanks for the opinion. Just have not seen these belly markings on the fires, but then again not a lot of experience with fires.

Probably a variance between the different fire lines.

I guess the YB flecking may be a poor choice of words. I am referring to the intermittent yellow-er belly scales with white scales in between. (not the YB marbled appearance).

It would be VERY difficult to pick up on a cheapo camera.

He's refering to the yellow smudges Fires often times have , seen it on alot of them even the Sulfurs I have carry the yellow smudges and those are yet a different line of Fire.. It's hard to get small areas of yellow smudges to come out on a pic but if you have good lighting it is easy to see in person on alot of them, it's generally there if your into little details like some of us are.
