show today had but few milks...normal sinaloae,campbelli,nelson's of all colors and hondos out the yazoo......round the room......did find a pair of gentilis.....hmmmm.....found a female temp.....hmmmm.....gone when I went back....fortunately the hypo male calvert's was still there.......he has a nice new home with a nice fresh moss covered hide box full of peat (tea jug...LOL).....had to.....I would have beotched and moaned for weeks(years) if I had walked away twice from it.....now I need MORE female temps....uuuuugh.....LOL........if I would have gotten GOOD eggs instead of probable duds IN the water bowl I'd have a start to that too......year not done yet!!!.....

......for the year only milks not totally normal was the 2 temps today,pair of central plains ....last week an amaura it was labeled as...small...could have been LA...looked alot anulata-ish though for me and too small...wild....not enough milks out there.............

I really need a bunch more females.....get rid of more corns and balls and buy more female temps.....maybe reds too...LOL...

I realized several years ago if I see something I like a LOT and think I want but am not sure, to go ahead and buy it and if something better comes along, sell the first one--you can usually get the same price or lose only a nominal amount. I reached this conclusion after passing on a couple animals at an expo a cpl years ago "until I've finished looking around.". I soon regretted it!

This tactic doesn't work with extraordinarily expensive specimens, of course. But It's a useful perspective IMHO.
