My ghost corn (who I doubted was even female due to her light colors) just laid a clutch of eggs. 3 are slugs, but the rest (about half a dozen) have good color, though they are deflated from being on wood shavings all weekend. Here’s the rub: she has never been with another snake (let alone a male) since I bought her at Hamburg as a pinkie sized hatchling. Also, she is less than a year old.

I assume all eggs are infertile, but I’m keeping them to see what happens. Anything remotely like this happen to anyone before? No male and so young. Either reason alone would be weird, but both together make it very improbable…

I have a female king that layed eggs without ever having been with a male. They were all slugs. Some times vergin females will lay. Very rarely the eggs will be good and hatch out clones of the mother.

I would set them up for incubation and try candling them in a few days, if they don't go off and start rotting. When I had good eggs I could see veins in them after just 2 or 3 days. Then you should know(veining is subtle that early so if the eggs haven't shown any don't give up untill a week has passed or they go bad, wich ever comes first). Don't be too hopefull, odds are that they are infertil.

happens all the time......why I usually breed them at 20 months of age.....might as well....they lay anyways.....

...had one again this year....just started breeding her ....and she dropped duds....should have got to her sooner....
