superworms

Does anyone happen to know if beardies can get parasites from superworms? I am housing superworms in a container with peatmoss and was wondering with the superworms feces getting ingested by other superworms then eaten by my beardies can link to parasites? All 7 of my beardies have coccidia/pinworm and i'm a compulsive cage/good hygiene type cleaner and was wondering how this might have happened.

I use bran and a grain bug food to house my superworms in. They eat the bran as well as the food. I change everything out every month or so. It just seems like a better idea than peat. Parasites can come from anything, salad greens, the superworm supplier, etc., even possibly from a stray bug in your house. It's just impossible to say.

I have never had a problem with extra bugs coming with my supers, I get 500 boxes from a really good source.
However, when I used crix on my youngens, once I got 10,000 fruit fly eggs too, what a mess that made, within a week of me getting the box I had literally thousands of flies. I vacuumed them off the windows there were sooo many.
As far as urine and waste ingestion, I have never read of it being a problem.
