Today when I was feeding Moxie (after his soak), I thought I saw him blow a bubble from his nose--I'm pretty sure, but not positive. If I hold him next to my ear, I don't hear any snorting or wheezing, but maybe a little crackling and whuffing (like he is puffing air out). Of course, I don't normally listen to his breathing like that, so to be honest, I don't know if that's normal or not. There is no nasal discharge at all, and he is eating well (more than ever, in fact). He is maybe a little sleepier than usual, but he just finished up his second treatment w/ Panacur, so I don't know if that could be a factor. I'm going to call the vet tomorrow, but does this sound like RNS or a URI?
Another thing--when he is out in his pen, he likes to wander around a while, and then he burrows into the dirt under his cork bark hides. When we water the pen (1x/week), the dirt stays damp under the hides for a couple days, and of course it is cooler under there. Is it possible that this could be the culprit if he does have an infection? The weather here has been very warm lately (over 100 today), and his indoor temp never goes below about 77, so I don't think it can be due to temps.
Thank you for any help you can give me. I'm quite worried!
