Stacked AP cages & Heat

I've been having some problems with one of my cages getting too
hot.

I've got a stack of 4 AP cages which I really like. The 3rd one
was getting too toasty. I tried different things. I finally got
the temps right by using no heat at all.

I've got the bottom 2 cages on a timer, the top one has a smaller
heat pad.

Anyone else have similar issues?

I guess this is normal for stacks?

I have a stack of 3 visions, but they are on the cool side.
I'm right about to order 4 more AP cages. They look great &
are very sturdy.
