Updated pics on a few Reeses Pieces....

rainbowsrus Apr 27, 2010 05:14 PM

I can hardly wait to see how these babies will turn out, one shed and a few meals and WOW!!!!

2005 Summit Reptiles Pastel Salmon "Reeses" bred to 2006 Bill Kirby Pastel Motley "Hershey".

These two are keepers for sure....

HE-RE-1001, male Pastel Salmon Motley, the most intensely colored baby of the entire litter.

HE-RE-1017, female Pastel, wow tons of pink!!

1001 and 1017 together for comparison....

101 and one of the Pastel Motleys to show the difference in color...

Thanks for looking..

Truly beautiful animals Dave! How hard is it to put great color into the motleys. We've seen great color in the different hypo lines of the motleys but you seemed to have done it with the normals as well. Selective breeding at it's best.

whosnext Apr 27, 2010 07:28 PM

I'm sorry, but the non motleys are absolute stunners as well. Animals like these can put a "morph" on notice if you get my meaning.

Take care,
AJ

IMO you hit it on the head, selective breeding and starting with good stock. A lot of the color in these babies comes from the Summit reptiles line, and even my founding motley stock are pastels as well so they get the pastel influence from both sides. Pastel meaning a reduction in the black. One or both lines ALSO have a lot of underlying color which shows up with less black covering over everything.

EYE CANDY!!!!!!! I love the outcome from that breeding you had. That normal pastel is just so awesome. You would be crazy if you decided to let that one go. Thanks for sharing

Thanks Jake, I have to agree, funny though how the "least" phenotype provided one of the most desired holdbacks.

Great looking litter Dave ... definately on of the best hypo mots I have seen to date. Gotta love the genetics from that 2005 litter of summit pastel salmons ... seem to make everything they touch better! Great job on this pairing/litter
