Oh how long does it take before they shed usually?
Kyle
Depends on how much you feed them. Often times pet shops and breeders will feed hatchlings no more than what they need until they are sold to you. Which means the little guys don't have a lot of reserves to grow quickly.
Once you get your little hatchling home you can start feeding them for growth. I feed mine every week and every other week I feed them two approptiate sized food items instead of one. You could feed them two or more every week (which is refered to as 'power feeding'), but this can be stressful on the animal if kept up for too long and can ultimately lead to a shorter life span. With my feeding regiment my two little ones both shed about a month after I got them and each shed after that is about 2-3 weeks apart.
Hope this gives you some perspective.

what does everyone think?

another pic of her

That is the most unique markings I've seen on a Jungle. Who bred her? Are you sure she's a pure Jungle?
Darci
Yeah actually she hasnt eaten or shed yet. She is a product of a freind of mines two jungle carpets. Only one of 15 babies has normal jungle markings. The rest have some sort of conecting patern, or striping. I got her for 50 dollars. Her parents are really nice looking too. And she is tame. Just wandering when she should shed, unless she might have right before i got her. They were all together in a 10 gallon for the first week then i picked her up, getting a brother soon. She is the best lookin one out of them all, well to me.
Thanks Kyle
