There's a show on TV about meteorite hunting and whenever they find a dark colored magnetic terrestrial rock they call it a "meteowrong". But saw the episode about the Odessa meteorite field and now he, like me, wishes to go try his luck...

Bob, I had the opportunity (misfortune??) of working there several years ago for about two months during the winter. Rained so hard for several days we actually got flash flooding LOL!! It is VERY flat and desertlike.
