Some updated pics for April......

whosnext Apr 29, 2010 08:47 PM

These are some Harlequin Salmon Jungles. This is a few days after their second meal and their starting to really show some color. Soon that blue wash will turn to color showing a finished product. Knowing how they develop is key. Most don't really appreciate the Harlequin gene or may not have seen strong stock in a live situation. A nice "normal" Harlequin will put most hypos to shame. I'm not trying to offend here remember I said most hypos. April, these pics are for you and everyone is welcome to look as always.

Take care,
AJ Schneller

Very colorful indeed, esp at such a young age..
I gotta say though, that is some amazing photography. Just wondering what kind of camera did you use, and what lighting.. I can never seem to take those awesome professional looking photos. Thanks and nice boas..

Thanks for the kind words on the photography. It's a Sony Cyber Shot DSC-H5. It's basically a point and shoot in a SLR body style. It was set on auto with normal flash. It has manual functions but I'm not skilled enough to use them to my advantage. I let my program auto adjust the color and I crop the pic. No crazy program enhancements done here. I still didn't capture there True color but it's close.

Stunning pics AJ,
Here is a good example of how good normal Harlequins look and change.

That would be a great pairing. Color and color equals more color. My favorite aspect in a boa. She will be ready this fall.
I'm not vending this weekend. I should be there Saturday morning though. Are you coming?

AJ, yeah I will be there. I plan to get there pretty early, though after a busy week I need a little rest. Can you bring her along for me? If I a not there you can leave her with the USARK crow. I will definitely be therefore by noon. No later.

Freakin' outstanding AJ! And I like that you have the salmon blood in the mix too (I like all hypos but special spot for salmons). It's amazing they are already showing such great color after only a few meals. That tail stripe on the first one posted it super but the last/thrid one is my favorite! All about PINK!
thanks for posting, sorry I missed this when it was first up
