Blood in cage

tsusnakeguy Apr 30, 2010 11:02 PM

I have a pair of corns together and I was looking in the tub tonight and there was a little bit of blood on a piece of aspen. I checked both snakes and there were no bites or wounds. I was wondering if anyone has had this happen? I thought maybe its blood from hemipenes or something from breeding.

Yes, there is sometimes blood when snakes breed.

Yes I actually experienced this for the first time this year myself, and I have bred snakes a long time on and off. I also saw someone post a similar thread with pics, of a lot of blood in the tubs, on another forum that is for geeks who love reptiles ((bleep)s).
