My son wants a boa.I have a regular BCI but he wants something smaller.I have heard the hoggs are. but would like some idea of just how big they get. Also are the temperaments as easy going as the BCI?
Thanks in advance.

I have 2 females that are 7 plus feet and a male that is only about 4 foot. They are 4 years old and do fine with the same temps ar all my boas.

You have a couple options really when looking for small boas. Hogg islands are drop dead gorgeous and usually pretty timid. Most Hogg islands (depending on whether it is male or female) start to taper off their growth at about 4 ft. or so. Kenyan sand boas are another option as they rarely exceed 3 feet. Rosy boas are also another option as they average growth tapering at about 2 feet or so. Rosy boas are usually pretty docile and usually take to eating rodents with little effort on behalf of the keeper.

sounds like they can almost get as big as BCI at 7ft..Plus with the timid temperment they may not be ideal...Maybe a ball python would be a better choice.Ive had balls and dont really like that timid nature, like pet rocks really..But I do like the slowness and the size. That is what my son is looking for.I will look at the others you suggested.
