I have a het albino female that has been off feed for the last 2 months. She has been eating live small rats and occasionally mice. Any ideas on getting her back feeding would be appreciated.

this was the # 1 reason i stayed away from breeding these wonderfull little creatures for so many years. i started off breeding true indian & albino and het burms back in the late 80,s early 90,s and then bci,s for many years after. and all these species are tremendous feeders rarely if ever refusuing a meal... and on a number of occasions i tryed putting together some breeder groups and it always seemed like they would get up to around the 800 grm mark in the first year and then just quit feeding!!! but this is just a ball python doing what ball pythons do! you just kinda got to ignore it and they will pick back up when there ready. after all they been here for several million years longer than say boa constrictors for example so just relax and dont make the mistake i made so many times early on when i started by selling them and giving up on them over there feeding issues because its not just youre snake its all balls. hope this helps regards..........................

Same ??? just a week ago, most will say live with it. It won't hurt them. See my response. Different food. It can't hurt.

Frozen food is fine when they eat it. Try live mice or rats, maybe even live ASF. If they won't eat what you are offering, try something different. I feed ASF if I have a special female that is getting close to size and starts refusing meals. It won't hurt them not to eat for a while, but a few more meals can make the difference between this year or next.
