protein question

how much animal protein should be fed? i've read a lot of conflicting info on th subject. right now i feed like 4 crickets once a month

Actually you're certainly NOT feeding too much protein with that small amount. About once a month I give my Cyclura a dead mouse to eat. A lot depends however on overall conditions their kept under as well as the individual lizards health. I believe that neonate Cyclura and Ctenosaura benefit from weekly feedings of small amounts of protein but remember mine are OUTSIDE UNDER OPTIMAL CONDITIONS. I'd certainly be careful with the type, amount, and frequency of feeding protein...thanks

he's in a 5'4"x3x3 enclosure. basking spot ranges from 113-145ish depending on the spot. megaray for UVB
