Illegals? I would be more worried about the minutmen. I have come across border runners in the past. They cant get away from you fast enuff. Freaks me out that they dont get bite by a snake or fall in a ditch and die! I only go out herpin at night, usually on a new moon. It is black as hell if you turn out the lights! Just remember to bring your ID and a valid fishing license and you should be ok. Also dont stray away from your car to check out what might be a good snake spot with the keys still in the ignition!

If you carry a sign in support of the Arizona immigration bill, So Cal will be a bit more hostile for you, verbal mainly.

And be careful near the Mexico border. Drug runners and human traffickers do exist.

Other than that its great!

haha im going to hook a sound system up saying im for it while i road cruse lol na jkjk but seriously i heard the law is really nothing new, just the media making a big deal about it! i talked to the guy that i am working with while i am out there, and thats what he said.

LMAO!!!,.....yeah, D. Silva looks like he has some intense herping "night vision" compliments of the mass quantities of cocaine he was doing and smuggling into that Mexican border area..LOL!

Legend has it, that he could spot a hatchling alterna on an outcropping from 500 feet away in total darkness!

haha i actually met up with him once and we had a great time, other than his jitters, temper and constantly wanting to stop for the illegals and help, he is a nice guy ;p though he doesn't like to obey any collecting laws and constantly defaces rocks looking for kings but we had a talk and i set him straight! hahaha oh and he flips put when the border portal comes by! lol jkjk

im headed out tomorrow and will be taking a lot of pics of my trip!
