Eastern King question

texasviper619 May 02, 2010 07:09 PM

I have a breeding pair of eastern chain kings that only locked up once for about 10 hours 3 weeks ago. But they showed no interest in eachother after that, will that be enough to produce some good fertile eggs? Or is there a greater chance that most will be infertile? Thanks

Once is all it takes, especially if they breed when she is in her "prime" with ovulation, and very thick with ovum. Sperm can be viable for some time afterwards as well depending on temps too.

If they are no longer interested, then things probably went very well with the initial breeding and fertilization anyway.
