Adult Peruvian Rainbow Boas

Jeff Clark May 04, 2010 04:31 PM

I think I have 8 different adult Peruvians in these PICs. Most of these are females. All the photos were taken with my Canon Powershot. Lighting was one GE 100 watt reveal bulb 3 to 4 feet overhead. One excpetion is the last photo which was taken using the flash from the camera to shoot an orange male and red female together inside their cage.

First two pics are an orange female. She is 5 years old but still a little small to breed. She is very shy and is a light eater.

This is one of the medium red females.

This is another red female.

An orangish red female.

Large plain orange male

Smaller dark red male.

Another dark male.

Reddish female.

Orange male and red female. Photo taken inside cage using camera flash. These two snakes are in other photos above.

I hit the post message button while I was still writing and correcting the captions and checking the spelling. Anyway those are most of my adult Peruvian Rainbows. Also sorry but the last two PICs are the same as the first one.

The photo that says it is a smaller red male is actually a female. It is the same female that is the reddish female before the orange male and red female photo. Anyway, most of the really intense red ones were brown and plain when they were babies. The orange adults were prettier and orangish colored as babies and have not changed as much as the red ones.

I love the bold markings on the Peruvians. One of these days I may get another one yet!

Great looking boas, Jeff! I like the extra contrast their bold markings seem to give their patterns and am especially fond of the rich coloration of the red ones pictured. Those are nice!

Those are beautiful, Jeff. I don't mind looking at the same pictures over and over again.

Jeff,
Which pair did 74F come from? They are all very nice.
